saturday night pretties~

Tonight is Prom Night!  Beka and I went to Grand March; when all the couples walk thru the school so that everyone can see! The girls were beautiful and the guys handsome! It's so fun to see all the different dresses; some long, some short and every color you can think of!


My neice was there, she was so pretty!

She's a cowgirl....she drove her truck to prom and even wore her boots! Her friend said...."I thought you wore high heels".....she said....."oh, heck no!".....!!! I think that she was probably the smartest girl; every one I saw was walking around with their shoes in there hands!

royal day~

I was not one of those that was up at 3:00 this morning for the royal wedding....were you? I guess I didn't think of it and now I wished I would have set my alarm or atleast dvr to watch the beautiful wedding!

Kate was absolutely beautiful and her dress.... gorgeous; and even her sister looks lovely!  I love the simple, yet so elegant look, right down to her flowers.

BUT.......

what in the world was up with the hats??? Did you see those??? If you didn't here is a peek!

I actually think this looks very nice, I like her hat and I think she looks pretty classy! 

I love this too, the dress is pretty and I like the hat too.

new wreath~

So I was up in my sewing room messing the other night, when I should have been sewing; my etsy store is bare! Anyway....I was messing..... I came up with a new wreath for the back door!

I had some scrap fabric and a wreath form. Super easy to make, it's only 3 strips of fabric 4" x 70" long and a foam wreath form.  You wrap one strip around the wreath and hot glue.  Then run a ruffle stitch along the other two strips, lay your ruffles around the wreath and glue them. Little secret....I didn't glue any of it I used straight pins, yup....I pinned it all.  If I want to take it apart, I can; not sure if I want to tho, it's kind of cute!

I had some smaller pieces of my gingham fabric ( I just love gingham) and made some cute little flowers for my wreath!  Now I just need to get it on my door!

I absolutely love this color, it's Edgecomb Grey by Benjamin Moore. I love, it doesn't look really like a grey, but more of a tan/cream/grey color.

here is mine......

Sorry about the bright; I had to use the flash to get some kind of brightness; cloudy day! This green is not a bright green (the flash made it look brighter), it's a muted fern color.

Mine is Soft Fern by Benjamin Moore, I LOVE  LOVE the green, but I really like the other color too.....I am torn??? If I would change it, this color is in my huge dining area, which is part of where my computer area is, all the way up the stairs and in the big area at the top of the stairs and hallways to the bedrooms. It would be alot of work, but would I be happy with the change????I don't know. Would it be too much with the light color in the carpet on the steps, the same carpet is upstairs; very light colored.  Opinions!!!!!

another junkin' day~

I went junking again today....yup, same place as last week!  I took off and forgot my camera, but Beka was with me and she had her phone.  Here are a few pictures

I told you it was like American Pickers and Hoarders!!! It's crazy, but so much fun; it's the thrill of the hunt!!!

Each time you go in there, you see different stuff.  I found some good stuff, some I won't keep; I'll probably e-bay.

My hunny got a big box full of baseball cards.  Not sure what we will do with them, him and Beka were checking e-bay to see what some were worth.

I got another little wooden crate, some folding rulers, lids for the blue jars, locker basket, an old poetry book, an old medicine bottle and some other little do dads! I also got some grain sacks and a big picture frame that are still in the garage.
