This is always on my mind right now. My hunny and I take off every morning at different times in different vehicles heading to work, which for me is atleast 20 miles one way, hunny is alittle closer. One day a week it's double for me, Beka has dance and that's 2 trips to "town" and back. I am just curious....
This is my price just last week and thank goodness it hasn't gone up lately; what is your price????
I know on the west coast and bigger cities, you are going to go....huh, I wish it was $3.66; but for me, I am UHHHGGG, it's $3.66! We are definately going to starting thinking about how we can save on gas and extra trips.
Take care.....TOMORROW'S FRIDAY!!! :)
Also, I am tossing around the idea of a giveaway, i would love to have more followers to make it more fun, if your lurking, come join the fun!!

I am linking up with Lindsey over at the Pleated Poppy again for another week of What I Wore Wednesday! If you get a chance head over there it's so much fun to look at all the entries and if you are brave you should try linking up! It makes me really think before I throw on that Tshirt and Jeans; I am lucky enought that my work is VERY casual, but I have gotten so used to just throwing on a tshirt and jeans and my running shoes and out the door I go.
So, I was a slacker again this week and only have 2 outfits; so here we go....

went junkin~
Not very often do you find a good store full of great junk around here, but when my hunny told me of one the other day, I said..."lets go". He said that he had heard about this guy who had bought this building from this other guy who had died (bought it from his family). This guy that died used to go to auctions and what he bought, he kept in this building. Well, the guy that bought the building wants everything out of it, so he is opening the door and what ever you can find, he takes a look at it and shoots you a price.
So, my hunny was gracious enough to take me today; he has a terrible cold and didn't really feel the best, but he was a trooper! :) I wished I would have had my camera to take pictures......OH....MY GOODNESS!!!!!!! I am telling you.......this building was huge and it had a path,.....YES JUST A PATH thru it, there was stuff stacked to the ceiling of this old building!!!! The guy out front was sitting in a chair, he hands you a flash light and in ya go! It will take several trips to be able to see everything, there is just SO much stuff and it's stacked, so you can't see everything. I will have to see if I can get down there again and I will take my camera so you can see!!!! It's a combo of American Pickers and Hoarders; no kidding!
This is what I ended up with.....
I ended up with a silve pitcher, wire basket, vintage door knobs, tins and a square jar, a container with vintage sewing needles and little wooden sewing needle containers, an old Sears and Roebuck catalog(dated 1908) and a crate box; oh, ya and the old sled. I didn't get to carried away because I didn't know what he was going to charge me. I will definately have my hunny take me back, there is more I want to get! :)
I hope your Saturday was a good one!

I am linking up with Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy where fashion is the name of the game! It's a great way to get you to think about what you are wearing. I have gotten some great insight on cothes and styles. It's been fun every week to see what everyone is wearing. If you have thought about trying, you should, it's fun!
This week was not good, I was a total slacker. I have one outfit; but I got some awesome flats that I LOVE!!!!

scarf tie~
I just love scarves, I love the versatility they allow and they are a great accessory. I have one favorite scarf I got for my birthday last year, it's a Lucky brand scarf, it's a patterned smoky blue color and it's super long.
I usually wear my scarves three different ways. The first way is just wrapped around the neck
Next is like this.

I am not really covered in lint, I just need to clean my mirror! :)Ooops.
It starts out like this....
Fold the scarf in half and then pull the ends thru the fold and fix. Also, my friend Sara over at whimsies-whatnots gave me a great pointer; she uses a large safety pin and pins the backside of the scarf to your shirt, then when you bend over your scarf is not falling forward. What a great idea, I hate it when I lean over to wash my hands or something and my scarf is dragging in the water.
Next is probably my favorite.
it starts out like this
then you just tie it, but twice...here like this..
uhm...yes, that's a bottle of window cleaner, I should definatly clean the mirror before I take pictures! :)
This is tied once.....then you just tie again....like this..
Then just straighten it up and there you have it...
Have fun with your scarves and try tying them different ways and if you find a new way....let me know I would love to try it! :)

chair love~
I just love old chairs, I love the character and style of an old chair; the story they hold.
When my Mom passed away and we cleaned out her house, there were 3 chairs that I always loved and knew right away I had to have them. They are old chairs; she aquired them from my grandparents.
The first one is a tiny one; she's a doll with cute little curves.

The first one is a tiny one; she's a doll with cute little curves.
I love the drip of old turquois colored paint; I would love to have found out how that got there.
Her poor little seat is worn and cracked. I could see her painted a pretty cream color, giving her new life, but for the life of me I can't cover her up; I love her imperfections.
Next was the rocking chair, I have loved loved loved this chair. I love her curved legs and how smooth she rocks; I can't imagine how many night she rocked babies to sleep. I love the nail heads along the front.
Her seat is worn and crackled and the spring are shot. I would love to find someone to replace her seat so that she looked brand new.
And finally here is this beauty.
She sits in my sewing room. I remember my Mom always had this chair in her bedroom.
I just love her detail on her legs.
I just love old vintage chairs, they usually have such pretty details. Usually when I got to Goodwill, or an estate auction, I gravitate right to the chairs, even though my hunny says, "no more chairs"!
