may day and monkey bread~

Happy May Day!  I remember when I was a kid we made May Baskets; they were actually plastic cups filled with candy and popcorn with some decorations on the cup.  We would run around the neighborhood and ring the door bell and run leaving the cup of treats; we had so much fun!

When Beka was little and we lived in a different town, they did May Baskets, she had so much fun; esp. trying to catch the person at the door leaving the goodies! Where we live now, they don't do it; we live around older people and no kids.  I still love the idea of making May Baskets even tho we don't partake in the fun anymore; I found some really cute ideas for May Baskets.

Do you make May Baskets????

This morning I made Monkey Bread (I am not sure why they call it that???) for my fam....I have had it, but haven't made it! Yum and super easy!

I had to quick take a picture before it got devoured! If you haven't made it before here's the recipe.

Monkey Bread

2 tubes of refrigerator biscuits
cinnamon & sugar
1/3c. butter
1/3c sugar
1/3c brown sugar
2T water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut each biscuit into fourths and roll in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Layer into a greased bundt pan.
Bring to a boil the rest of the ingredients and pour over the biscuits.  Bake for 20 minutes. (Mine took a little longer, like 25 minutes; I wanted to make sure they were done and not gooey).

Don't forget, if you haven't become a follower and you want to.....come join the fun....I am having a giveaway starting this week!

Have a great day!

Jodi-

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I can't believe I've forgotten about May baskets!!! We used to make them as kids and take them around to our neighbor's houses. It was always so much fun :) I'll have to remember to do this next year!

Also, I'm your newest follower :D
