I am so glad it's friday, how about you? I worship my weekends, it seems more

now than ever. It seems sometimes time stands still

for so long and the weeks drag on forever.

Maybe because I look forward to my Hunny

coming home so much! But then when the weekend

comes, I want time to stand still, because I enjoy

my time at home so much!

 

Several new pillows in the etsy shop.

I love this one, I think it's so cute!

 

Beka is taking driver's ed class this spring,

so we have been practicing! It's so hard for me

to be on the passenger side; guess that's a

control thing!;)  She is doing great...practice,

practice, practice!!

 

I was in the kitchen the other day and i

peeked aroun the corner to check on Bailey, and this is

what I saw! :)  She can watch the kitchen from

there and when I said something to her, her

tail would just go...you can tell her tail is

just a wagging! It was so funny!

 

we had home made chicken strips, recipe

from the pioneer woman. I highly recommend

these, very easy and very good! I am always

looking for quick and easy meals...LOVE this one.

 

All this week, well and even a bit last week, all the

talk has been this "big" winter blizzard

headed our way....GET PREPARED!!!

 

So, we got prepared....several trips to the

grocery store and several trips to Walmart,

because, I am sure we will be snowed in

forever, ya know! :) 

I rushed around at work and got all

of my work done that needed to get done

for the week incase I wouldn't

be able to get to work(was keeping my fingers

crossed for a snow day or two! ...shhh)

I left work early on Thurday afternoon, it had

just started.

 

we snuggled in and were ready

for the storm....bring on the snow!

by evening, it was getting deeper and blowing

like crazy!

 

we did end up with a snow day today, but

it was not a record blizzard for us. I did have to break

out this bad boy for some help!

 

Thank goodness for this, or I would be

out scooping forever!

Ok...well...to tell you the truth,

this picture is from a while ago. 

 

Quite a while ago, to be exact....

you see there are no socks worn,

which means around here,

it was ALONG time

ago, because

I have to wear socks or my feet

freeze in the winter; sometimes I even

wear two pair! :)

 

oh, yes, this was from along time ago, I have a slider on the floor from when

I moved furniture to clean the carpet! LOL!!

lately~

Well....hello there.

etsy

I know.....it's been along time.

 

I have been thinking about this place

alot lately, but everytime

I sit down to the computer,

i don't know what to say.

 

It's been crazy around here lately.

I struggle with the duties of the Mom and the Dad; with my

hun working away so far.

I miss him, and wish that he were here,

but I know that this is what we have to do.

I am so proud of him. He works so hard

putting in very, very long hours in the

cold and being away from us for weeks at a time.

aren't we cute in our plaid shirts....he didn't think so! :)

 

 

I struggle with trying to do everything and

hoping I am being the best Mom that I can be.

 

I know, I need to realize, that I can't do everything,

but I sure like to try! :)

 

I have not done any crafting, and hardly

any decorating around the house.

Christmas was sparse and Valentine's Day

was non exsistant.

I am lucky to get my laundry done and my

house cleaned. I guess I am in a "funk", I am

tired of winter, maybe a bit of the "winter blues",

So, I am trying to pick myself

back up and kick it into gear!

 

 

I have been working on the Etsy shop .

I am excited to work on some new

pillows. New designs and some of my

very own typography.

 

I am also trying to get my butt in gear and get

back into shape.

 

My sweet hun gave me a super

cool camera for Christmas. It's a DSLR, but its

a new mirrorless camera, so it's smaller.

So, thanks to Dawn over at Creative Cain Cabin for

telling me about this.

I am taking some classes  to

learn how to use this baby!

 

My sweet girl had her Winter Formal at school.

I am also very proud of her too. She has grown

up so much and has become such a beautiful girl inside

and out. 

They had so much fun!

 

Oh, and I can't forget you know who.....

 

 

Miss Bailey dog is keeping us busy too, she LOVES the snow and

has taken a liking to the loveseat!

christmas tour 2012~

I have finally gotten around to getting most

of my decorating done.

I am one of those that is running around sticking

a decoration here and there right up

before my family comes on Christmas Eve.

I always say to myself...quit it......

it's fine the way it is....no one even notices...but you!

But, I never listen to myself! :) 

Here is what I have done so far..... wink wink....so

come on in!

This is my mudroom, love my mudroom...this where everthing is dropped...

and hopefully coats are hung up and always lots of pillows! :)

This little table will get some tweeking before the end of the

week, I am sure! :)

we just recently....(well, not we...I ) painted the door

that goes out to the garage with chalkboard paint. I have the door

that goes to the basement in chalkboard paint, but Beka and her friends

love to decorate it, so I wanted one of my own. :)

I bought my boxwood wreath from decor steals ! Love

them and have bought several things from them...would recommend!

the kitchen, not much happening here. I used just a few things and

my little wreath with some left over red ticking material for the bow.

I kind of have a thing this year for pinecones.

They seem to be in

every room.

Lots of pillows around....of course!

The tree is new this year. It's from Balsam Hill.

My tree that we normally have used forever was ruined in

our yucky sewer backup in the basement.

It broke my heart to lose my Christmas tree, you see,

my Mom bought that for me for my 2nd Christmas

with my hunny; and my Mom is no longer with us, so it was

sad to have throw my tree away!

I decided to go simple this year with decorations. I did some

pinecones(told ya!) and birds, some glittery reindeer, and some

snowflakes. I finished it off with button garland.

Love this little birdy!

My sweet friend Holly,  she has this super cute blog and also

an etsy shop. She made this awesome candle. This one is

mistletoe; smells wonderful!!! Love it

so much I just ordered 3 more! :)

master bedroom...I think this pillow is probably my favorite

pillow of the season.
