no effort.

Our weather has been fabulous lately, we even had

dinner on the patio on Monday night. It was so nice, even

though it was just a subway sandwich. :)

mother's day~

I have been a mom for

14 years. Believe me, it's been quite a journey,if

you are a mom yourself you know.

That first moment that they place that little

life in your arms and you look down

at that tiny little person, it all begins.

 Life as a Mom.

I remember the day I became a Mom

like it was yesterday; Sunday August 24, 1997.

I woke up at 3:00a.m. and knew that something

was going on! I quickly woke Rick and said

I think it's time. Right away, like first timers, we

call the hospital in a frantic! They calmly said, "how many minutes

are they?" Well, of course,

it wasn't time and were told to relax and keep them

posted.  I went and layed on the couch and Rick

goes back to bed....WHAT? I thought...we are having a baby

and you are going back to bed!

I saw the sunrise that day, it was beautiful.

When things were progressing, my sweet husband

says to me, "it's a beautiful day to have a baby".

We made it to the hospital, almost too late! It's a good thing

we were only 4 minutes from the hospital, because that's

what the contractions were apart!

At 2:53p.m. we were blessed with our sweet baby girl

all 7lbs 2 oz and 19 1/2"long. She was perfect!

Motherhood has been quite a journey, I am not
kidding when I say that it hasn't
been all peaches and cream. It is certainly
a challenge, but we have this
wonderful sweet girl.

She is growing up so fast and has
become a wonderful young woman.  We are so proud
of her and I am proud to be her Mom.

what's been happening~

So, I haven't been around alot lately

it's been busy around here.

I am finally with the times....I have

retired my old cell phone; which was an

awesome flip phone, for an iphone 4s!

Let me tell you, I am in love....

I love this phone so much, where has

it been all my life?? :)

Miss Bailey dog turned 1 on the 5th!

I can't believe how much she

has grown. She is still

such a pup!

 we had pupcakes and ice cream; okay

well "WE" didn't she did....:)

Bailey love the pupcakes!! 

Our hot water heater decided

to quit on us last

Saturday! Yes, why do most

appliances, air conditioners, and furnaces

decide to die on the weekend?

We got it replaced and were

back in business in few days!

I decided on a whim

to repaint the mudroom!

I know...crazy me...you haven't

even gotten to see pictures of it

all finished yet.  Well, it's not completely finished

but I had to change the color. :)

it's called

quiet moments

I really like it and I hope to work on my

gallery wall and then I can share it! :)

So that's what's been going on with me...

Happy Wednesday!

for What I wore Wednesday. I only have one

outfit today, I have been kind of a slacker lately, even with my posts. We

are having some summer like weather lately, I love it; I am a warm weather

girl.  Looking at this pic, I realize, I need some tan in a bottle; I

am looking alittle pastey.  :)

Also, I normally don't wear my hair up in a messy bun

at work, I will do a pony tail, but today

I thought I would try the messy bun. It was fun and

kept me cool.

I absolutely LOVE my Toms; they are my first pair. I was going to

get the ballet flats when they came out, but

decided to get these instead. 

I have been wearing them all week and they

are so comfortable; I can easily see

me getting another pair for sure.

everyone loves a shopping trip~

Am I right? Atleast I always love

a shopping trip! :)

Friday Beka and I were off to the city.

She had a not so good mole removed

from her temple area and we had

a return trip to get the results and the stitches

out. We are very thankful

that the results were okay. They were

glad that they had gotten the mole when they did

as it was one that has the potential to turn

cancerous if left alone. So, she is good to go and has

to be back in six months for a recheck.

After the appointment, we rewarded ourselves

with some great retail therapy! :)

My two favorite places to visit when I can; these two shops

are out of our way, but not Friday.

We had a great shopping trip and came home with

some great goodies and good news! :)

bird watching~

We've been bird watching this week

My brother and sis in law

went to Hawaii

this last week and asked us to watch

Chipper. :)

And of course, I said YES. :)

He is a little camera shy, but he is

in LOVE with

the birdy that's in the mirror. :)

He is so cute and just chirps away sitting

on his little swing.



We have had a great time

bird watching this week. Beka decided it's

alot easier to take care of

Chipper than Bailey. But, we love Bailey

and wouldn't live without her (well maybe sometimes). :) .
